At Broomfield School we want to give the children the best possible start that we can. This is why we have chosen the Little Wandle Phonics and Reading Program from September 2022. At Broomfield, we feel that this program offers us the tools to be able to succeed in this. This complete resource incorporates every perspective. It has enabled us to have training for everyone, offering a clear progression in phonics and reading and provision of what to do if children need extra support, through the Keep up, Catch up and SEND programs.

This program is well resourced with fully decodable books and assessment tools that ensure that children are kept on track by identifying any gaps early on. We feel that this program gives us the capability to deliver high quality phonics to all children. Ensuring our approach to teaching phonics and reading is accessible to all learners, regardless of background.
